This course provides an overview of modern planetary science and spacecraft exploration of the Solar System. Discussions cover amazing discoveries and some basic science about objects ranging from the Sun, to planets, to moons, to asteroids and to comets, along with a look at the origin of the planets and the prospects for finding life elsewhere in the Solar System. No previous science or maths knowledge is required. A little familiarity with some basic astronomy would be helpful. No equipment is required except a notebook and pen. |
