Rottingdean Whiteway CentreRoom Hire Rates from January 2024
You can book one or more of the four rooms available at the Centre and they are the Main Hall, the Youth Hall, the GB Room and the Round Room. Before booking, please check on the Calendar for availability.
All party bookings pay a deposit of £100. Please tick the party deposit box on the booking form.
Bouncy castles are allowed in the Youth Hall and the Main Hall. Please ensure that the person you hire from is fully insured for you to use their equipment and please make sure that, as the hirer, you are the last person to leave the building.
Hire the whole centre for your wedding day for £690, plus £200 deposit. If needed, you can book the evening before for an additional £200. Click the link below and choose all four rooms on the booking form.

We have purchased a fully automatic defibrillator which can be found in the kitchen at the centre.
Main Hall
| Maximum Capacity: 150 Standing, 80 Sitting |
Description:  This is the largest hall in the Centre. Light and airy with a high ceiling, and use of an attractive modern kitchen. It is suitable for parties, wedding receptions, wakes and other functions. Wheelchair accessible. There is a large screen and TV monitor.
Dimensions- 9.4 mtrs x 9.3 mtrs (87.43 sq mtrs). Height 5.2 m to the ceiling fan.
A PUBLIC ADDRESS SYSTEM is available for large public meetings. Please request in the additional comments section of the booking form.

Youth Hall

Description:  This rectangular hall is the second largest at the Centre. It has a high ceiling with skylights, making it light and spacious. With the use of its own kitchen it is effectively a self-contained unit.

GB Room
| Maximum Capacity: 50 Standing, 20 Sitting |
Description:  The GB Room, named after Gladys Brown, one of the Whiteway’s founders, is rectangular and, at its widest point, is 9.1 x 3.3 mtrs (29.75 sq mtrs).
It is a light room facing east and there are blinds which can be lowered to exclude the light for using a projector. There is a TV monitor. |

Round Room
| Maximum Capacity: 20 Standing, 11 Sitting |
Description:  As its name suggests, this is a circular room with an area about 20 square metres. With a large round table, the maximum seated capacity is 11, but we are asking hirers to ensure they maintain sensible social distancing. It has a TV monitor, and a whiteboard for use by hirers. |
