This course is designed for those who are already very familiar with basic Italian structures and attended an Italian language course in the past. The course will focus on the development of skills related to everyday situations: doing groceries shopping, asking and giving directions, and talking about past events. The activities will include speaking tasks such as role-plays, description of images, group writing, and listening. |

Nicola Sorrenti (Nico) is a native Italian language teacher from southern Italy. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Italian language teaching to non-native speakers (University of Messina, 2014), a CELTA Certificate (Brighton, 2017), and a Master’s Degree in TESOL with ICT (University of Brighton, 2020) Over the years, he has worked in various contexts, with learners of all ages, both face to face and online. He uses a blended approach with the inclusion of cultural aspects, both to sustain the students' interests and motivation in the subject, and to meet learners’ needs. His experiences across Italy and the UK contributed to develop a varied background that ranges from classical studies to cutting-edge methodologies in the world of digital language teaching. His interests also include comparative linguistics, literature, storytelling, visual arts and technology. |
