A gentle but empowering exercise class that will focus on improving posture, alignment, core strength and flexibility. It will involve some standing work and some lying on a mat. Please bring a cushioned mat. The class is suitable for all ages and no previous experience is needed. The class is 50 minutes long for 5 weeks. |

I have practiced yoga and Pilates for many years and, in 2020, completed Alan Herdman’s Pilates teacher training course. This covered both mat and studio work, and included a Level 3 diploma from Active iQ in matwork. In the first months of 2020 I taught at a community centre in Walthamstow, and since the lockdowns have held regular classes via Zoom. As someone who is over 50, I’m interested in working with people in this age group who want to maintain their fitness levels and may be looking for a measured but challenging practice to maintain muscle strength, balance, and posture.
