Taster session ! This class is designed for people who want to maintain or improve their fitness but find it difficult to get onto the floor for matwork. We will use the chair for support in a variety of seated and standing exercises. The class will include elements of pilates and yoga to build strength, flexibility and balance in a mindful way, linking movement to breath. Any loose, comfortable clothing is suitable |

I have practiced yoga and Pilates for many years and, in 2020, completed Alan Herdman’s Pilates teacher training course. This covered both mat and studio work, and included a Level 3 diploma from Active iQ in matwork. In the first months of 2020 I taught at a community centre in Walthamstow, and since the lockdowns have held regular classes via Zoom. As someone who is over 50, I’m interested in working with people in this age group who want to maintain their fitness levels and may be looking for a measured but challenging practice to maintain muscle strength, balance, and posture. In 2013 I obtained a diploma from Yogacampus and taught yoga for two years. See my website Corebalance
